Tourism is still booming as one of the largest industries around the world. It boosts the economic growth of a country while providing potential job creation for residents. For instance, by estimating to serve approximately about 15.6 million foreign tourists and about 80 million domestic travelers, Vietnam generate receives 620 trillion VND (26.66 billion USD) in tourism and a rise of more than 25 thousand employees per years.
From another angle, tourism can also have many negative impacts on the quality of life. One of them is that it leads to the overcrowding on such places as Barcelona, Venice and Spain. Venice, a city of 60 000 people, welcomes nearly 30 million visitors a year, that 76000 tourists a day. Spain welcomed over 82 million travelers in 2017 with 9 million visiting Barcelona alone. Even, CNN 10 reported on 28 of May, there were a significant rise in the number of hiker climbing Mount Everest, which led to traffic jams on the climbing path.

    Self-decision making skill (March 31, 2019)

    (05:02:45 AM 31/03/2019)

Honestly, this title lets me contemplate and spontaneously link with last week’s topic since  having a knack for self-making a sound decision is regarded as a persuasive evidence of our maturity. Then, we can, without a doubt, lecture on our social circles that solitarily making our mind is a learnt skill we can adopt and surpass ourselves from time to time, in a pretty “rational” manner.
It is far from easy, indeed. Whilst a handful of people can suggest applying models ranging from the most basic one ( we divide a sheet of paper into 2 columns, list all Gains & Losses to either options then weigh these two possibilities ) to a more complicated version such as SWOT analysis, some of us can do the contrary. To be more specific, we sometimes make irrational decisions in the blink of an eye by relying on our tuition, our true calling or being swayed by those who have a big voice in our life, say, parents, partners or closest friends. Even in the other cases, we simply refer to the opinions of the public, named “crowd effect” to jump to a swift decision.
Self-decision making skill seems to be more impactful when we humans occasionally have to face and be stuck in the dilemma of two similar choices: who to tie the knot with, this or that person? whether to secure our lives with a nine-to-five job offering us a fixed amount of money or follow our true calling, become a freelancer whose monthly income can be highly volatile on a monthly basis, and so on. Tons of questions are popped up in our mind.
