(The topic was once discussed on OCTOBER 22, 2016)
In Vietnam, charitable organizations can either exist as non-profit organizations or operate under the coordination of the company, university, government organization or celebrities. Each organization has different missions with different ways of doing charity for different groups of people such as sick children, alone elderly people, people with disabilities, farmers or students who are going to take the university entrance exam. In general, there are four teams in each club or organization: organization team, funding and finance team, communication team and volunteering team.
In recent years, the charitable activities have attracted much attention and become a hot topic in the media. The TV show “ 60 phút mở” ( 60 minutes Open) streamed live on Jun 9th aroused a controversial topic on Charity as to who gains more- the giver or the receiver.
